ESPERANZA GOLD

5.25" Width of Flower, 27" Height of Scape, Hybridized by the late Rudy Zirako, Introduced by Kathy Rood 1996

Description: In his life time Rudy was a great hybridizer working with many species of plants. To our knowledge he never bothered to register his creations. The entire plant was given to Kathy to bring home to the finger lakes. This golden beauty has an older form but what attracted Kathy was its outstanding distinction as an extra early bloomer. This plant blooms in mid-June which is rare for tetraploid dayliles. The very dormant plant has multiple branching and averages 18 to 22 buds per scape. Blooms are fragrant and extend into evening hours. Double fans $10
