Tom and Kathy have been gardening and growing daylilies since 1959. Both are master gardeners with Yates County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Tom was American Hemerocallis Society Region 4 Regional Publicity Director and Newsletter Editor for over six years and Regional Vice President for two years. AHS Region 4 covers all of New York, New England, Ontario, Quebec and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. In 1993 Tom was awarded the AHS Region 4 Service Medal at the National Convention held in Charlotte, NC.  Both Tom and Kathy are AHS garden judges and Tom is a garden judge instructor and regional garden judge liaison. Tom and Kathy also write many articles for the Master Gardener weekly column in the Penn Yan Chronical Express newspaper. They have given programs from Tennessee, Kentucky, New England, Long Island to Ontario Canada as well as several NY garden and daylily clubs.
