| The Outlet Bike and Hiking Trail |
4 Minutes south on Rt 14 |
Follows the old 6 mile canal bed and Keuka lake Outlet gorge from Dresden to Penn Yan. Originally there were 27 wooden locks on this canal. The railroad replacing the canal was washed out and abandoned in 1972 during tropical storm Agnes. There are still traces of the old canal bed and water-driven mill sites along the trail. |
